The Homer Talk Community Forum
The forum has been setup so that you can create new discussions and we haven't really got any limitations as to how far we can go with topics. The forums intention is to give Homer, Alaska and surrounding communities a place to interact and share ideas. This can be from bee-keeping to knitting. We just hope that you can get information that you need and have the place to share your knowledge!
The Homer Talk Calendar
Any event that you want to share with the community can be shared for free on the homer talk website. All you will need to do is register and visit the calendar page. Once you are there you will find that it has never been easier to add a calendar entry. All you have to do is double-click on the day or time you want to have your event, and a popup box will come up asking you for a description, time, and other basic event information. The Homer Talk "Going Green" Section
This section of the website is our newest edition. Our challenge and goal for this section is to create a place for resources and information about renewable resources and just about anything else related to becoming self-sustaining in the terms of food and energy. Our hopes is that we can feature interviews from people who have converted to renewable resources and show them to the community so we all can see the pros and cons.
As we progress in our movement, we will be listing links of places that you can purchase the tools necessary to becoming self-sustaining. This would include, but is not limited to the following: solar units, wind turbines, combustion alternatives, etc. etc. We also intend on providing diagrams, discussions, and general know how along the way.
Like we said, this is our newest edition and community involvement is highly encouraged. So please, register today, and lets all get the ball rolling. You can learn more by visiting our "Going Green" section..
